Excel 2016 For Mac Constantly Locks Up

Online multiplayer browser games. Gameplay in RuneScape is mostly a standard MMORPG experience with players exploring the large world of Gielinor, a fantasy world in a medieval stage of development. RuneScape has plenty of features allowing players to chat with others, complete quests, collect resources, fight other players, train themselves in a variety of skills or take part in the active game economy. Some players choose to devote themselves entirely to PvP while others focus on reaching the maximum level for the various game skills. Like most other MMORPGs players can set their own goals and objectives since there is a lack of storyline in the RuneScape universe.

I have this excel file and it freezes when I'm entering data. For instance, I double click on a cell, enter the data and when I press ' enter '. It freezes instead of going to the cell underneath.

I have to save and restart Excel. This happens ever 3-4 minutes while I try to use it. Now I'm using it on a new 2015 11 inch MacBook Air. This is very frustrating. Is there a resolution to this? The version of Excel I have installed is 15.13.1 Build 150807.

Pressing ' enter ' several times doesn't unfreeze the program, the only thing that works is selecting another cell with the mouse. This excel sheet has more or less 10 sheets and I have two or three macros but this problem persists even when I'm disabling the macros.

Excel 2016 For Mac Constantly Locks Up

I have tried to run this excel file on two different Macs and both of them experience the same problem. Had the same issue happen to me today. I was editing an Excel workbook that had cells referenced in another workbook that was open at the time. When I entered a value, the worksheet I was on would not respond, going to another worksheet and entering a value then escaping would 'reset' and I would be able to go back to the worksheet to resume work, but would get 'stuck' again right after entering another value. Solved the issue by closing the other Excel workbook that was referencing cells in the workbook I was working on.

We have a brand new computer with a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro and office 365 (2016) running on it. When we open Excel it opens immediately and without issue, however if we open an Excel file it takes around 30 seconds before the Excel splash window comes up, then it loads with a grey windows inside of Excel for another 15 seconds or so. The files are located locally on the same disk which is a brand new SSD. If Excel is open File> Open will open the file immediately however opening the file from its location in windows explorer still has the delay. So far I have disabled all the Add-ons and also performed a selective startup (so its not antivirus of firewalls) - And a number of other fixes found in the guides below I have tried everything in this guide: I have also followed this guide through: It was also coming up with a UAC prompt every time we opened excel previously but were able to amend this by using 'troubleshoot compatibility' If any of you have seen this before and have any advice it would be much appreciated. We have managed to locate the issue turns out its happening for everyone with a Dell OptiPlex 3050 - The Audio driver that comes preloaded on these PCs are what seems to be the source of it, the pre-loaded driver is a Realtek one from January - A new release came out early August (this month I know!). We performed a system detect on the Dell website and found the compatible Realtek driver from August, downloaded it and installed it - Now everything works perfectly!

This took ages to work out but I hope my solution can help someone Dell made a post about it mid-July before they released the update with a temporary solution: (This didn't work for me btw) Also here is another guide. I can't actively test it at the moment as it is a client PC, however I have the whole day tomorrow to perform testing on it - I already have a few other ideas but I thought I'd open it up to the floor as its a challenging one. I'm actually planning on un-installing, using the MS removal tool on it to clear any trace - then using CCleaner to clear out the last remnants of it. Then hopefully a re-install after that should work.Tried the registry key, no change. Also tried my own suggestion, that didn't work either. Still no solution for this as of yet - If I find one I'll post it here.

A new one that i came across today – when using office 2016 (o365) it likes to check your license status via the internet as it opens excel files (and possibly word and others).

If you have a slow internet or “partial connectivity” – it may not be able to contact the license servers fast enough and so freezes while trying to check your license status. After 1-2 minutes all the timeouts complete & excel opens. In the case of my laptop using wireless – disabling my wireless connection meant it was not connected any more, and with no internet connection excel opens near instantly as it will not have internet access – in contrast to waiting for timeouts on license checks with partial connectivity. I%u2019ve had the same problem and tried everything that has been suggested.
