Word Password Recovery Software For Mac

Password

I locked a Word for Mac file with a password, and somehow did it wrong, because I can't open it. Word version 15.32, Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. Is there any way to bypass/reset or otherwise get this document open? It's for work, I'm the author, and normally the password is a simple one based on the file name. I've tried everything I can think of: reversing the caps, all caps, no caps, shifting my fingers one key to the left, to the right, row above, row below, adding a mistaken space in the middle -- nothing. It was a systematic mistake, since I obviously did it a second time for the repeat. I've seen programs to download, but they're all for PCs. How to download google maps for offline use on mac.

Suggestions greatly appreciated! Hi KW98584, The reason Rodney has recommended trying to open the file on a PC running Windows is because the encryption methods being used on the Mac are different than on a PC with Windows. At least they have been in the past, and I have not been informed if Microsoft has ever changed it. If you happened to last open the protected document on a PC with Windows, when you re-saved it, the encryption method would have changed. Docusign for word 2013. Making it impossible to reopen the document on a Mac, even when the password itself has not changed.

Recover Password of your Excel File or Word File with Free Password Recovery Utility presented here. This Password Recovery Utility has been tested with Microsoft Office 2007 and with Microsoft Office 2013 and should work good with later versions of Microsoft Office. If you aren't you can use Recovery Mode on your Mac to open the Reset. If you're logged into your Mac with your Apple ID account, you may be able to use it to reset your admin password. If you aren't you can use Recovery Mode on your Mac to open the Reset Password utility.

Regarding finding someone or some program that will hack into the document. No one here can or will recommend something like that because it is, at a minimum, an ethical violation. No offense meant, but simply saying you are the author of the document, does not make it so. And in my opinion, the people and programs that claim they can break the encryption are dubious at best. So beware if you decide to pursue that path.
